New Era

Dear Mr. President, First of all, I would like to congratulate you on winning the elections last May. The voices of the Filipino people have been heard. It is you that they want to rule this country. More than 30 million Filipinos have put their trust in you, and I hope that you will not betray their trust. Since you are now the President not of the 30 million Filipinos but of the entire country, I hope and pray that you will lead and treat the Filipino people equally.

I most certainly hope that you and your family's critics are wrong. I hope that what they are saying against you are all just rumors. You are in the first year of your 6-year term. Without a doubt, the job of a president has never been this hard since the start of the world war, due to the fact that you are facing tons of economic crisis because of the COVID-19, not to mention the War on Drugs left by your predecessor, the oil crisis, food shortage, and corruption issues in the Department of Health. I hope that with your leadership and guidance from others, you will overcome this crisis.

I hope that you will be transparent. Listen to the views and suggestions of others, even if they are from the opposition. I know you have what it takes to serve the country. I especially put my support behind you. As a youth, I believe that I have the right to pick a leader. I hope that you will not betray the trust I gave you and other Filipinos. I pray for your success because I believe that the success of a leader brings prosperity to a nation. I believe that a tiger is better than a rose.
