The end

Image
This blog serves as the ending punctuation or the period of my Grade 10 and Junior High school Journey. We started learning about the History of the Internet, then comes HTML, followed by the Community based Research, and last, Microsoft Frontpage. Though I can barely remember the lessons Ma’am Vera Cruz discussed. However, all of the memories we shared is something to go back for and it is something that can never be forgotten.       About this quarter, there are no certain words that can describe what I felt about Information and Communication Technology. It is because, I am uncertain if I have learned something or not.  Although I can really tell that this quarter is less difficult than of the previous one, a part of me is unsatisfied, because I never get to fully understand our lessons, specially about Ms FrontPage. There are so many things that have left me puzzled. But all of these is over.        A p...

Dreaming big is a fundamental aspect of our lives. It involves envisioning and planning for the future, setting our aspirations and desires in motion. However, dreams alone are insufficient. Without accompanying goals, they remain stagnant and can lead to disappointment. Setting goals means actively dedicating our time, effort, and actions towards realizing our dreams. It is through goal-oriented pursuits that we can transform our dreams into tangible realities. Merely dreaming without taking action will render our aspirations unfulfilled, leaving them confined to the realm of imagination.        Every single one of us has a dream, hoping someday it will be fulfilled. Dream is a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal. A dream is an ethereal manifestation of one's deepest desires, an intangible creation of the imagination that encapsulates cherished aspirations, ambitions, and ideals. It is a captivating realm where possibilities...

If you want to fix the world, start by fixing yourself

As stated by William McRaven, “If you want to change the world start by making your bed”. If you make your bed in the morning you have accomplish your first task of the day, this then gives us a sense of pride and accomplishment. By accomplish small tasks, it reminds us that little things in life matters. If you can’t do the little things right, you will never do the big things right. This line also reminds by having a simple sense of responsibility can be helpful in forging us to be a better man. Change starts with me" is a powerful statement that emphasizes personal responsibility and the role individuals play in bringing about positive transformations in their lives and society. It implies that in order to see change in the world, we must first be willing to change ourselves. By adopting this mindset, we can initiate positive shifts in our attitudes, behaviors, and actions that can influence those ...

To my First Love

A mother technically refers to a female parent, but there’s more to that, a mother is someone who is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children. A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to make it a competent human being. Mother's Day is a special occasion celebrated worldwide to honor and appreciate the love and care of mothers. This day is dedicated to all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our lives who have supported and nurtured us. Mothers serve as the light of the family (in Filipino referred to as, “Ang Ilaw ng Tahanan”) because they are the ones who tirelessly work day and night to ensure that their children and families are well-fed, safe, and happy. They are our biggest supporters, our confidants, and our best friends. They are the ones who guide us through life's ups and downs, and always have a listening ear and a shoulder...

One last quarter before we enter the senior high school life. It feels like the first week of quarter 3 was yesterday. This quarter is different but differently hard than the last two quarters. A rollercoaster ride during the weeks of 3rd quarter is one of the best memories of my grade 10 life. Although our subject is quite difficult to understand, because it is a battle against time, and some of our teachers are often not around due to many important reasons. Nevertheless, I am still grateful because I still somehow passed even though there are many troubles I encountered.                         In this quarter, ICT, first, we learned and then, conducted a community based research. Community based research (CBR) is a methodological practice that places community partnerships at the forefront. Community based research also covers a wide va...

When Someday became Yesterday (High School Day Celeb)

Image
The High School Day is an event that is celebrated every year, on the 25th of February. It is an event to celebrate the founding of our beloved school, it is also an event to give thanks or recognize the services given by our beloved teachers. For the year 2023, Ilocos Sur National High School finally celebrated its 121st High School Day, the theme for this year’s High School Day is “Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity”. For the past 3 years the High School Day wasn’t a grand celebration, in other words it was not that big of an event due to the restrictions brought to us by the deadly virus. Due to this reason students, teachers, alumni, and parents never got to experience the different events offered by the celebration. The entire duration of the celebration gives a memorable experience to everyone specially to us students. The school invited a former outstanding student of the school, specifically an alumnus of the class of 20...
