The Place you will never ever Forget

Vigan City is a home far away from home, a place where you can truly feel and experience true Ilocano culture. Located in the province of Ilocos Sur in the Philippines, Vigan City is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, which can be seen in its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture and the traditional lifestyle of its people. Vigan City is a unique and amazing destination that we  must visit. One of the main attractions of the city are the events and celebration.

On the month of January the people of Vigan celebrates its annual festival , also known as the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. It is a week-long celebration wherein resident within or outside of the city can also experience. During the last two year we could all say that the celebration was nothing but ordinary, due to the pandemic but this year I could say that I won’t be like any of the recent years. The festival offers different kinds of events to visitors there are the street dancing competition, longganisa cook off, education night, there is also the carnival and street market, and many more.

Celebrating festivals in the Philippines bring joy to the people, so they celebrate it with whole effort and pride. However we must not forget the main highlight or the reason on why we celebrate it in the first place and that is to honor the feast of conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. With all that said Vigan City Festival in conclusion is a festival like no other, a festival you can’t compare to the other. Sure there are other places that offers the same events, the same food, the same sites, but Vigan City is the first to ever do so and that is why it stand above the rest, and that is why it is a place that you will never forget.
